The Cover Art of Gini Koch’s ‘Alien’ Series

I’m a sucker for a beautiful cover. It’s hard to describe what exactly will appeal to me, but one thing I know I love is color, glorious color. I really enjoyed the first book in this series – Touched By An Alien –  and just take a look at this gorgeous cover. It’s the kind of cover you can just look at for ages, finding fun little details that you missed at first glance.

The cover artist is the very talented Daniel Dos Santos.

Next in the series is ‘Alien Tango.’ I haven’t read this one yet. It’s due out soon and I can hardly wait. Yet another beautiful cover by the same artist has me waiting impatiently for the release date. Gini’s stories are stuffed with larger-than-life characters and the action is non-stop. Again, the cover captures that beautifully. I love the  suffused blues in this cover. I think it’s my favorite. Again, the great little details, like the cute shoes with the fly- away shoelace really take this cover to the next level.

Gini Koch is quite a character herself. Here’s a fun interview with her I did a while back in the guise of my nutty alter-ego, Agent Z.

And just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, Dos Santos hits another one out of the park with yet another gorgeous cover.  I can’t wait to get my paws on this one! Is that blood spattering her dress?

Now, you’ve heard the saying: you can’t tell a book by its cover, right? And it’s true – for the most part. But the pairing of this writer with this artist is just a match made in heaven. The covers promise action, romance, humor – and the author delivers all that and more.

For all news Gini, go check out her fun website.

  1. This latest cover leapt to first place among my favorites. It is so gorgeous and since I know every element on the cover is a direct representation of the plot, just like Touched By An Alien’s was, I am totally anxious in wait.
    Great post!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You’re right about being able to go back and look at the covers and discover more little things you missed the first time. *G* These covers are one of those rare instances where an author and a cover artist are perfectly matched.

Awww, thanks you guys. I agree that Dan does a beyond amazing job with my covers. I truly cannot wait to see what he does with Alien Proliferation. I have my bets, but I’m not saying a word. LOL
