2011: Blog Review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 17,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Thank you, WordPress.com. It’s a pleasure doing business with you.

  2. Wow 17,000 hits in 2011…you done good girl! Note to self: more pictures, you had 2x as many pictures.

Is that good? I wasn’t sure if it was or not. I do love pretty visuals, I admit.

I laughed my ass off at the search terms that got me the most hits. “Sex Scenes” and “Vladimir Nabokov.” Yep, fond of both those things, LOL.

  3. Congrats on a great blogging year. And I giggled too about the “sex”. and “Nabokov”.

  4. Kaye Manro says:

Congrats on all the hits! Yes– it’s the sex, it seems!!

  5. Diane Dooley says:

LOL, I know! I wrote one post about “sex scenes.” One!

  6. Dale Long says:

I got one of these too. I haven’t even looked at it yet. Maybe I should.

Nabakov… didn’t Sting and the Police sing about him? Don’t stand so close to me?

Maybe I should have Sex in my titles more often… đŸ˜‰ 17,000 hits is a lot to follow. I think I may have only had like 4000.

I found mine very interesting, Dale, and I was impressed that WordPress went to the trouble.

Yep. “Just like the old man in that book by Nabokov.” Great song.

Yeah, “sex” in the title. I did it once and don’t know if I’ll do it again, though it is tempting to title a post “Sex, Sexy Sex and More SEX!” just to see what would happen *grin*
